Children at four schools and preschools in Sitka, AK once again enjoyed dipping and decorating strawberries for Valentine’s Day, an AC Lakeside tradition.
AC Lakeside ran their third annual strawberry dipping event on February 14, having adapted the event to make it more COVID-friendly, so the children could enjoy it despite the current pandemic.
AC Lakeside proudly donated strawberry kits for students and faculty at Keet Gooshi Heen Elementary School, Baranof Elementary School, 3 to 5 Preschool and Betty Eliason Child Care Center. The kits included beautiful, massive strawberries, with chocolate dip, sprinkles, and individual containers.

The teachers had the option of working on the project in class with their students or sending kits home so the students could make them in the comfort of their own home.
“With us just finishing off a year that brought much difficulty and change, we have learned to adapt and some things need to remain magical” said Vince Winter, AC Lakeside manager, about the schools that received the kits.
