Children in Arviat, NU are looking good and getting warm this winter thanks to the support of the Northern store.
Recently, Arviat Northern Store Manager Darren Price worked closely with the community’s Health Centre team for a special donation of winter jackets for the community’s kids. The warm winter wear was given to the community food bank in mid-November to distribute to families in need.
Arviat’s food bank has already started to hand out the jackets and will continue to do so for the next two weeks. Sandy Ranahan, Head Nurse in Arviat, expressed her gratitude for this donation: “Thank you for the jackets, we’ll be giving them to those who need them most.”
“We are glad to help out the children of Arviat. Seeing a smile on a children’s face makes it all worth it,” said Price.
