The North West Company was proud to sponsor the Honouring the Gifts: MKO Youth Cultural Celebration held June 21-25 by donating $38,000 and by supporting the dance competition as part of its judges panel. Contestants aged 12-17 from across Manitoba Keewatinowi Okimakanak (MKO) Inc.'s 26 constituent First Nations groups submitted nearly 140 videos showcasing their talents and skills in a variety of categories. From traditional pow wow dances to contemporary fine arts, every brave youth had a platform to share their talents online through MKO’s various social media platforms.
