Fort Simpson, the only village within the Northwest Territories, is located 500 kilometers west of Yellowknife, right at the confluence of the Mackenzie and Liard rivers and is accessible by air, boat and winter road. The village’s 1,202 residents (as per 2016 Census Canada data) speak South Slavery and English, and include 770 First Nations, 95 Métis and 20 Inuit peoples.

“Supporting the community is very important. Any time a donation request is received, preference is always given to initiatives that support youth and elders,” said Evoy. “One example of our support was the donation that was made to the local school containing food and snacks from our new line of product called School Safe.”
