Jason Winter, the Northern Store general manager in Rossville, Manitoba, was impressed with the results of a taste test that featured the new Best Value Reduced Sugar Juice Crystals.

When presented with the regular Best Value Juice Crystals and the reduced-sugar Juice Crystals, participants of the blind taste test chose the reduced sugar option 9 out of 10 times.

“The results were extremely surprising,” says Winter. “When we explained the additional benefits of the product, the customers were really impressed.”

The Best Value Reduced Sugar Drink Crystals has been featured as a Health Happy product and contains 50% less sugar and 50% less calories. It is estimated that this product will remove 200,000 lbs of sugar from children’s diets in the North this year.
