The North West Company Inc. is proud of the active role we play within the communities we serve, striving to make a positive, progressive difference. Our contributions within the community of Stony Rapids, SK, are a testament to our commitment.   

Located about 80 kilometers south of the Northwest Territories border, the Hamlet of Stony Rapids is a community of 262 residents, most of whom speak Dene as their mother tongue, as per 2016 Census data. Although the Hamlet has gravel road access, it is primarily accessed by aircraft.

2. Capital Investment: Northern has made a $721,241 capital investment in the Stony Rapids store over a 10-year period.*

3. Annual Economic Impact: Northern is making a positive impact in Stony Rapids, with $278,210 annual economic impact in the community.*

Our Northern Store Manager, Jennifer Benoit, and her team are strong community supporters.
