On August 31, the community of Red Sucker Lake, MB celebrated its commitment to growth with the grand opening of a new Band Office building, featuring contemporary design and construction.

The grand opening began with Elders offering prayers and a blessing of the Office. Residents and dignitaries then enjoyed a day of entertainment from local musicians and many chances to win prizes. The Red Sucker Lake Northern store was happy to donate a Ski-Doo for the grand door prize that one lucky winner took home. The store also supplied $2,500 worth of merchandise for draws, including a microwave oven, fishing gear, cooking accessories and gift cards.

“We are happy to participate," said Elliott Rice, Red Sucker Lake Northern Store Manager. " The new and modern construction reflects the growth and advancement of the Red Sucker Lake community."
