A hopeful question can lead to an impactful contribution in a very meaningful celebration.
While a year end is a good time for reflection and jubilation, a new year also presents new beginnings and opportunities. A New Year’s Eve Gala in the community of Chisasibi, QC, not only brought people together to enjoy a wonderful time, but also made a big difference.
While planning the celebration, the event coordinator approached the local Northern store, discussing about the possibility of making it more exciting with an impactful prize that could be awarded to a lucky resident.
Northern Chisasibi was happy to give back to the community by offering a solid discount on a Ski-Doo they had in stock. “It came about on short notice, but I reached out to my Director Sales and Operations, Mark Blake – and we quickly got a number together to support the Gala Prize,” said Ed McKay, Northern Chisasibi Store Manager.
All three members wanted a prize that could make a lasting significance and be useful to the recipient for many years to come. In addition, snowmobiles are greatly appreciated in the community.
The gala was well-attended and the prize made the event even more memorable, especially to Eileen Coonishish, the lucky winner. “As we continue to grow bonds with the community, we hope this is another step towards good relationships and our goal to be a trusted partner in Chisasibi,” said McKay.
It was the Northern Chisasibi team’s pleasure to be a trusted partner in the community, as they wish everyone a happy, healthy and prosperous 2020.
