Children and teens in Wabasca, AB are getting the chance to attend hockey school this season, with help from a $1,500 donation from The North West Company.

The North West Company was proud to sponsor the Wabasca minor hockey league’s hockey school this season. Boys and girls aged 6 to 19 attended sessions in November and will participate again in January.

This donation will make a significant impact on the children as well as the parents and grandparents of the players.

“I am always pleased to be able to help this community, and it was nice to be able to present the Minor Hockey League with this cheque on behalf of The North West Company,” says Wabasca Northern Store Manager Rob McKinley.

The Wabasca Minor Hockey league hopes to run the hockey school on an annual basis.
