The Alaska Commercial Company Sitka was proud to partner with the Sitka Historical Society and Museum to sponsor the Electric Train Christmas Village and Santa Visit this holiday season.
The event venue was filled with excited children and families who were able to visit the museum for free and see the holiday trains on display. They also got a chance to speak with owners that brought in their classic trains. After a stroll through the museum, visitors were able to say hello to Santa and Mrs. Klaus.
"I was excited when I first asked ACC Sitka for help with our event. I was not prepared for the magnitude and dedication they gave in return. We look forward to working together in this wonderful community." says Hal Spackman, Executive Director, Sitka Historical Society & Museum.
ACC Lakeside Bakery and Deli provided snacks and hot cocoa for everyone at the event.
"I believe Jean Vanier said it best: “One of the marvelous things about community is that it enables us to welcome and help people in a way we couldn't as individuals.” In my time at ACC I model my skill set by this as I believe it is important to ensure we are an integral part of our community.” stated Vince Winter, Store Manager ACC Sitka Lakeside.
