The Alaska Commercial Company store in Utqiaġvik (Barrow), Alaska showed its support to the community through a $5,000 donation it made to Arctic Education Foundation.

The Arctic Education Foundation is a non-profit organization that awards scholarships for training and higher education to Northern Alaska Inupiat Natives currently residing in the Arctic Slope Region. 

The foundation will use the donation to support things such as scholarship money and fundraising events.

“I was excited and honored to represent Alaska Commercial Company in such a positive manner. I’m also very grateful to work within a company that truly understands what it means to give back to the community,” says ACC Utqiagvik Store Manager Rebecca Mangiarelli.

The ACC team was proud of this donation and looks forward to future opportunities to support the community.
