The Northern store was host to a flu shot clinic in Shamattawa, MB that helped 90 people get vaccinated before flu season hits.

This was the second year that The North West Company helped out the nurses in Shamattawa by providing them a public space to hold their flu clinic.

“Last year they brought 25 flu shot kits to administer, and they had to go back to the nursing station to get more. They did 60 flu shots last year. This year they did 90!” says store manager Scott Irvine.

“It was a big success, and they are happy that we get involved to help them. The store is more of a central spot in the community than the Nursing Station,” he adds.

The North West Company is always glad to be part of events that help out the community.
