Pictured above is the BBQ Fundraiser for the Bristol Bay Borough Fire Department which serves King Salmon and Naknek, Alaska.

Firefighters, EMTs and paramedics in King Salmon and Naknek, AK worked together to host a fundraising BBQ  at Alaska Commercial Company, raising more than $1,000 in support of the Bristol Bay Borough Fire Department.

They collected donations through sales of hamburgers, hotdogs, chips and other food items, and by putting out a firefighter’s boot to be filled up with contributions. They also brought a fire truck for the community to check out.   

“We had an amazing experience working with ACC in King Salmon for this fundraiser. Everything was very well thought out and executed, our team had a great time, and all the feedback from the community about the event has been positive! I would consider it a total success – not only did everyone have a great time but we were also able to raise over $1,000! Thank you AC,” says Deputy Chief Timothy Capo, Bristol Bay Borough Fire Department.

Store manager Christopher Holmes says working with the fire department on this fundraiser was good for the whole community. 

“We thoroughly enjoy giving back to the community, and this fundraiser was especially important as the Bristol Bay Borough Fire Department keeps our community safe year round. The firefighters, EMTs and paramedics jumped right in to help grill and serve the food to our customers. We look forward to working with them again soon!” says Holmes.
