Have you ever thought about living a healthier lifestyle with food that tastes good? Northern is making it easier for its customers to do just that, and the Northern in Inukjuak, QC is no exception.

The Inukjuak store was one of the latest to put its customers’ taste buds to the test with a Health Happy Taste Test. As part of the test, three out of five participants preferred the taste of the Best Valued Reduced Sugar Juice Crystal over the regular juice crystals. Similarly, the results stayed the same when a variety of other Health Happy products were tested. A few participants of the taste test even made a purchase change from their regular choices to the Health Happy products, showing that more sugar is not always better.

 “You can actually taste the juice and not the sugar!” said one participant during the taste test.  

Since the Health Happy program was introduced to Northern and NorthMart stores, the consumption of healthier food products has continued to increase. The Health Happy Program aims to promote a healthier lifestyle in northern communities through Health Happy Products which contain less salt, sugar, caffeine, and fat content.
