Pauingassi, MB rolled out the welcome mat this summer when the Athletes in Action organization visited the community.

Athletes in Action visits multiple northern communities each year to run sports camps for local kids and youth. 

At the end of the week, the hosts often hold a community meal – a highlight of the visit. Northern Pauingassi was happy to donate food and supplies to the community BBQ that was enjoyed by nearly 150 community members. The store donated nearly 300 hot dogs, as well as beverages and water.

“We always do what we can as these folks come here with a positive message and do some good in the community while they are here,” said Bill Drover, Store Manager.

The North West Company always strives to be part of the community and contribute whenever possible.
