The Fort Chipewyan, AB community celebrated love this past February with a delightful dinner on Valentine’s Day. More than 200 people attended the event, where they enjoyed the amazing performance of Neechie Neil, a Cree tribute artist who sang some of Neil Diamond’s most popular songs.

Throughout the night, there were many activities including a raffle and an auction for special prize baskets created by the people of Fort Chipewyan.

Northern made many contributions to this event including sponsoring a table, as well as donating a TV for a prize, for the second year in a row.

“We really appreciate that Northern store has sponsored a table for the event the last two years,” said Marjorie Whiteknife, event organizer. “The contribution and participation of its members is truly appreciated.”
