North West Company honoured and surprised Cross Lake, MB resident Ursula Ross with a chance to see a Winnipeg Jets NHL game from a private suite in March.

The five suite tickets were donated to Ursula and her family as part of NWC’s tradition of recognizing and honouring the most dedicated and committed citizens for their outstanding personal contribution towards the well-being and over all safety of the local youth.  Ursula is a tireless worker and volunteer all year round. She received recognition as an appreciation from NWC for always supporting the customary values of working and supporting the betterment of the community and its people.

For the past few years, Ursula, a full-time working mother of three, has volunteered at Cross lake Minor Hockey and was appointed as a treasurer.

It was a special day for Ursula and her family. They were very happy and emotional to receive the Jets suite tickets.

“We had a great time at the game. I’m very thankful for The North West Company,” said Ursula. “I don’t do it for recognition, I didn’t think anyone noticed, but I do it for my kids and all the other kids, and I will continue to do it.”
