Students from northern Manitoba will get the chance to broaden their ethics knowledge thanks to a grant from the Healthy Horizons Foundation.
The $9,000 grant to the Manitoba Association for Rights and Liberties will support the association’s High School Ethics Bowl program, an event that encourages constructive dialog between students discussing critical issues. Students get an opportunity to practice research and critical thinking while developing public speaking and leadership skills.
“The Manitoba Association for Rights and Liberties is grateful to the Healthy Horizons Foundation for their support of our High School Ethics Bowl program,” said Executive Director Michelle Falk. “Thanks to the grant from Healthy Horizons, we are able to help eliminate the barrier of travel costs for schools from Northern Manitoba to participate in this event.”
