The North West Company participated in discussions related to food security at a working session led by The Nunavik Regional Working Group on Food Security.

The session took place in Kuujuaq in September and brought together retailers, airlines, marine companies, food subsidy program managers and regional organizations to develop recommendations to address the complex issue of the high cost and low availability of healthy, store-bought food in Nunavik.

North West’s contributions will feed into the development of a regional food security policy to better coordinate the efforts of the working group and help build stronger solutions.
